The last few months have been busy, full of welcoming guests, writing and planning all punctuated by more than my fair share of mint tea and tasty tagines. Both Tea in Tangier and Dar Ambrosia have had some wonderful attention across various platforms, so as the year draws to an end, I thought I show my face to new subscribers and share some of that attention here, before signing off and wishing you a happy end to 2023 and a creative start to 2024!
Over the years I have collaborated, written for and worked with Estila – and earlier this year I was thrilled to have Dar Ambrosia featured as a case study on this design platform. We also launched a design collaboration, inviting designers to work with me on their own design with local artisanal weavers in Tangier – we picked a winner and I am excited to be kicking off 2024 turning the winning design into a woven reality! I will be telling the story of its progress both here and on Instagram. Hopefully next year will also see more of these collaborations.
Dar Ambrosia also graced the pages of Maisons du Maroc who did an incredible job with their team photographing and styling the house.
A few months ago I wrote an article on Assilah and why it really should be on your Moroccan itinerary, for the online publication The Mediterranean Lifestyle Magazine , Issue 26 . This was followed by a fabulous feature on me, Morocco and the choices that took us to the medina, by fellow South African and “curious traveller ” on Safari & Living . A beautiful and inspiring blog that is worth a read with your morning coffee!
Well, that round-up has given you a glimpse through the window on my world. This next month is a time to re-group and re-connect with friends and family, while doodling designs, making notes and penning plans for 2024 – and there are plenty of plans!
Wishing you all a Peaceful end to the year has never felt more sincere and more of a privilege, as we navigate through to 2024…
x
