Good morning – it feels like Monday despite the fact that its Tuesday, but in my defence I spent most of Sunday and Monday in transit and travelling “home”. Maybe that’s why I related so to the words of this song – its the first time I have listened to the music of Hind Hakki and it synced in seamlessly with my mood this morning as I am feeling a little unsettled and rootless.
In this online world of ours I saw that she was performing at TEDxMarrakesh later this month, and in the words of TEDxMarrakesh: She blends the raw power of Hip-hop, good vibes of Reggae & passion of Soul with a Moroccan sound . . . so I thought I would take a listen, and share it with you as I sip my morning coffee this Monday (oops, Tuesday!!) morning.
