Sometimes a single image can make the difference between obligation and inspiration when it comes to writing,
and this image of Yayu Kusama’s Obliteration Room in Brisbane (via), was one of those images.
Suddenly I was seeing dots, and spots and pompoms, and thinking about childrens’ decor and Moroccan design, which suddenly seemed like the prefect marriage.
This carpet would I feel, bring a smile to Yayu Kusamas’ face, and be perfect in any kids room.
And what could be better (not to mention durable, easy to clean) than a brightly coloured leather pouffe for kids to jump on, build a fort with, or curl up in with their favourite book? {image via}
So many colourful options – all made in Tangier – like these handwoven and stitched cushions available online,
or this pom-pom perfect dotty skirt below from Wak Wak Studio
And who says art is just for grown-ups?
Inspire your kids creativity with some original art on the walls.
This work by Tangier based artist Mouad Aboulhana -Chreb Atay – is all about a little mint tea and mickey.

Alternatively,
do what this artist did – give the kids a box of sticky spots and let them loose . . .
