Artisans and designers of Tangier - Textiles, Tiles and a little mint tea ...
earlier this week I posted about this piece I wrote for The National - I have indulged myself this morning by posting the article on my blog without the cuts and edits...not a huge difference but it is all in the details isn't it?? It just flows a little smoother ...(link in bio)

Step down from the terrace into the cool leafy shade of the central courtyard - there is a wonderful flow of space in this riad with all the downstairs let being space opening up to the courtyard (DM for more information) #holidayinmorocco #lifeinthemedina #Assilah #asilah #tanger #tangier #teaintanger #moroccanproperty #interiorinspirations #urbanjungle

Fitting perfectly into this week's monochrome mood
Fitting perfectly into this week's monochrome mood is one of my favourite houses in the medina of Assilah - Dar Ka has been sympathetically renovated in the tradition of a riad but also has a very clean contemporary feel about it - this roof terrace is the perfect spot for a cold glass of wine and a sunset - AND a little bird has told me it's on the market 💙SO if you are looking for a place to retreat to and call your own in the wonderful seaside Medina of Assilah message me for more info.

Carrying on with the monochromatic train of thought...I had to include some images of interiors by fashion designer Marlene Birger who - as far as I am concerned - has perfected the layered Moroccan inspired monochrome interior. Her interiors manage to be full of detail yet the pared down palette makes it restful, but never dull!!! Layers of textiles include Beni ouarain carpets and vintage handira - it's all about pattern and texture! 🖤link in bio
