In Richards’ own words, “you can’t just rock up and do Tangier in a day . . . “
You can however rock up on Saturday 2nd November
to The American Legation in Tangier
for the launch of his new book
Tangier can be a difficult place to navigate and discover, but you can get a sense of the city from its history which still plays into its sense of self today. In his book Richard Hamilton tells us some of these stories and the history that has shaped the city. He takes us through the myths and legends of the city, right from the Romans through to the Rolling Stones!
Rather than go into the details of the book here I have included a link to a podcast for you to hear more about it in Richards own words
I asked Richard to share a little of his Tangier with a list of some of his favourite places to go.
Richard ends the podcast with Mandy in Morocco with these words
” There are lots of ways to read travel books – you can sit in your armchair in London and go on a magic carpet ride in your imagination, or you can go to Tangier and read it on your roof terrace with a cup of mint tea and look out on the straits of Gibraltor . .
Wherever you find yourself, it is a fascinating look at Tangier life – Ify would like to BUY the book it is available online HERE .
